AMW COMPOSITION CONTEST IS POSTPONED TO 2027!

The Amsterdam Marimba Weekend and Orgelpark-Amsterdam have the pleasure to announce the Third edition of the AMW Composition AWARD, encouraging composers of all nationalities and ages to submit new duo works with the instrumentation: organ – marimba or organ – vibraphone.
In this way we would like to extend the repertoire for these unique combinations and give the opportunity for both instrumentalists and audience to explore a whole new field of sound and music forms as well as reach out to different audience.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to composers of any age and nationality and any genre or style.
INSTRUMENTATION
Exclusively for the duo combination of organ – marimba, or organ – vibraphone.
Note: If desired, a combination of both mallet instruments is possible, or additional percussion instruments, objects, sounds track / electronics, and so on, could be used as long as it does not exceed the duo format of the composition.
